The Beet Education Center

The Beet Education Center

The Beet Education Center at the Loveland Museum was a 13-year plan that finally came to fruition in early 2020. While the name of the annex evolved with time, the idea for the expansion has always included an educational focus. In April of 2019, the City purchased the Reporter Herald’s newspaper building as an annex education center, and potential future expansion site. Museum staff lovingly dubbed it “The Beet”- a play on words that combined a newspaper reporter’s beat and northern Colorado’s primary cash crop for decades, the sugar beet.

Art for All Ages at the Beet Education Center

• Adult Art Classes are designed for participants of varying skill levels. We also provide the supplies, so come experiment with oils, watercolors, acrylics, drawing, and more.

• The “Print Shop at the Beet” is a new space at the Museum’s education annex, funded in part by Colorado Creative Industries. Printmaking workshops introduce you to several types of printmaking.

• Guest Artists will often visit for a workshop, as they exhibit in one of our galleries. Keep an eye on our website for these opportunities.

• Want to take a class with your kid or toddler? Check out our Kid+Adult classes or our Tot Art Classes. Great for grandparents or other guardians, too, as they bond while having fun creating art.

All of our programming opportunities can be found on our website for more information and registration. And
we are always open to suggestions for more! Classes and Workshops Schedule
