Ages 3 - 5, with an adult

$25 non-member, $20 Museum member (fees are per child, per class)

Classes meet at the Museum’s Beet Education Center, 201 E 5th St

Classes meet from 10:00 am – 11:15 am

Make Art, Make Memories! Toddlers can explore, have fun, make a mess, all while they learn fine motor skills in these classes designed to spark imagination and strengthen bonds. All supplies will be provided by the Museum, unless noted in the class description.  One registration = one child + one adult teaming up for artistic fun! No younger siblings, please.

Registration Policy

We depend on your enrollment for a successful class. Please plan your schedule carefully to avoid cancellations. If you must cancel your registration, please call (970) 962-2410 at least five (5) business days before the class. You may choose to transfer to another class, retain a credit for a future class, or receive a refund. If you do not call to cancel or do not show up for a class, your registration fee will be forfeited. For refunds, please allow for two weeks for checks to be processed. No cash refunds. The Museum has the right to cancel classes. If class enrollment is below the minimum requirement, a class may be cancelled. Class cancellation decisions are made at least three (3) days prior to class. 

At the Lake- Friday, September 11

In this breezy class, we will pretend we are sitting lakeside as we construct a toy boat that really floats! Next, we’ll design a lake-themed wall hanging, and finish by creating a special salt dough handprint keepsake. Instructed by Mary Jansen-Hedrick

Silly Snakes- Friday, September 18

Slither into some fun as we paint and put together a giant and colorful snake that can wiggle and move. Then, shape and design your very own unique snake friend out of air-dry clay to take home! Instructed by Mary Jansen-Hedrick

Fall Colors- Friday, October 9

Let’s get inspired by the colors and textures of the autumn season. Explore watercolors, collage, and more while creating fun fall-themed art featuring pumpkins, leaves, and a few surprises! Instructed by Jenni Dobson

Playful Monsters- Friday, October 30

Sculpt a friendly monster face out of a clay pinch pot that will delight all of your scary season visitors! We will also use bright paints to design another colorful monster face on canvas. Instructed by Mary Jansen-Hedrick

Scarecrow Harvest- Friday, November 6

Assemble a friendly little scarecrow to hang proudly on your fridge. Then, press colorful beans and seeds into soft salt dough to craft a beautifully textured, mosaic scarecrow masterpiece! Instructed by Mary Jansen-Hedrick

Rainbow Turkey Harvest- Friday, November 13

We will embrace autumn as we use textured bubble wrap and paint to create a vibrant rainbow of harvest corn on canvas. Then, craft a pinecone turkey using bright paint, soft feathers, felt, and googly eyes! Instructed by Mary Jansen-Hedrick

Holiday Treasures- Friday, December 4

In this festive holiday class, mold and decorate colorful Christmas tree ornaments. We will make even more treasures as we transform real pinecones into miniature, sparkling trees using bright paint and fuzzy pompoms! Instructed by Mary Jansen-Hedrick

Yeti Day - Friday, December 11

In this cozy winter adventure, bring a friendly snow monster to life! First, assemble a fun, moveable paper yeti, and then use a playful fork-painting technique to create a wonderfully fluffy portrait. Instructed by Mary Jansen-Hedrick
