About the Exhibition:
***Caution: Some videos in the Experimental Frontier contain flickering lights which may cause issues for photosensitive viewers.
The Experimental Frontier showcases work by alumni of Signal Culture's residency program at the Artworks Center for Contemporary Art in Loveland, Colorado. The exhibition highlights a broad range of experimental media art - spanning video, sculpture, interactive installations, print, fiber art, and software-based works - created by artists, researchers, and toolmakers who are re-imagining the relationship between art and technology.
The exhibit is curated by Debora Bernagozzi, a co-founder of Signal Cultures. Debora is a video, photography, and fiber artists whose hybrid analog/digital works have been exhibits by the National Endowment for the Arts in Tech as Art: Supporting Artists Who Use Technology as a Creative Medium. She services as Executive Director of Signal Cultures, where she provides technical training, curates alumni work, and builds community around experimental media practice.
Signal Culture is a nonprofit founded by Debora and Jason Bernagozzi and Hank Rudolph with a commitment to accessibility and inclusion - offering flexible, fee-free residencies that welcome artists with families, and fostering a supportive environment for the exploration of art, technology and culture.
This exhibit is sponsored in part by Visit Loveland.
