Pocket Accordion Book with Plant Prints
Saturday, May 16, 10 am – 3 pm
$80 (non-member), $64 (member)

Block Printed Tote Bags
Saturday, July 11, 10 am – 4 pm
$92 (non-member), $74 (member)
Experience the art of relief printmaking as you carve your own linoleum block by hand, roll ink across the surface, and use an etching press to transfer your design onto a washable tote bag. This class offers an accessible, hands-on introduction to printmaking, perfect for beginners and creative explorers alike. All participants will receive a 5″ × 8″ linoleum block to create their custom design. Bring your lunch, or take a quick break downtown. Instructed by Laura Grossett
Watercolor Monotype
Saturday, July 18, 10 am – 2 pm
$80 (non-member), $64 (member)
Learn a painterly approach to printmaking that can be loose and gestural or precise and controlled. In this workshop, artists will draw on a plastic sheet using water‑based materials, then transfer the image to paper using the press. You’ll experiment with watercolor, water‑based colored pencils, and water‑based crayons, making it easy to layer and blend many colors within a single print. Participants are encouraged to bring several loose drawings to use as inspiration. Final image size will be 8″ × 10″.
Solarplate Intaglio
Saturday, August 1, 10 am – 4 pm
$92 (non-member), $74 (member)
In this workshop, you’ll create a light‑sensitive photopolymer plate by exposing it to drawings made on frosted glass. After exposure, the plate is simply washed out with water and is then ready to print just like a traditional etching-without the need for hazardous chemicals. Each participant will receive an 8″ × 10″ plate to work with.
Copper Plate Etching with Chine Collé
Saturday and Sunday, August 29 & 30, 10 am – 1 pm
$92 (non-member), $74 (member)
In this workshop, we’ll use a corrosive mordant to etch expressive marks into a copper plate. The etched plate is then inked and printed onto paper using traditional intaglio methods. You’ll also explore Chine Collé, a technique that allows you to print thin, colored papers along with the copper plate, adding areas of color or pattern directly within the image. Each participant will work with a provided 4″ × 5″ copper plate.
