The museum has a number of outreach resources including educational trunk rentals, Lone Tree School House rentals, classroom presentations and more. Outreach is designed for school groups, Scouts, homeschool families, day camps and more! Our outreach provides great opportunities for teachers of art, humanities, music, performing arts, local and regional history. All rentals must be made at least seven days in advance.
Thompson School District teachers and homeschooling families (with valid homeschooling identification) can rent outreach trunks and Lone Tree School House for free. All other organizations pay a $10 fee per trunk and a $65 fee for schoolhouse rental.
Trunk topics include: Cattlemen, Colorado Tribes, Colorado Miners, Homesteaders, Mountain Men, Pioneer Tools

It was a long-time goal of the Loveland Museum to provide online educational content for parents and teachers. One good thing that came from a closure in 2020, was time to further develop these materials.
There are many online resources for homeschooling and arts education, but when it comes to local relevance as it relates to curriculum and learning, we feel we have a vast amount of resources to share.
The Loveland Museum has created a series of quick lessons designed to provide basics on a topic important to our local history. These lessons have been compiled by staff and volunteers at the Loveland Museum. Suggested activities give ideas for hands-on learning and are not intended to be all-inclusive. Other resource links may also be provided in some sections for additional online learning. We apologize in advance for any broken links.
